Went in at 9:00 with contractions 5 minutes apart. Not long after arriving they were coming even faster. Nurses broke my water at 10:10 pm, I was 7 cm. I quickly dilated to 10 (around 1 AM) as the anesthesiologist was putting in the epidural. I wanted it pretty badly by then, but at that point the hard part was over anyway. Then it was time to push. Lucy was born at 2:04 AM and was 8lb 3 oz, 20.5 inches. We barely made it to October (she came 11 days early).
